The department's objective is to motivate all students to actively participate in physical sports in order to develop the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership among the students. Participation in sports also helps promote the physical and mental well-being of the students. The department encourages students to compete and participate in various sports disciplines at the university, zonal, state, and national levels.

Pyramid Event in the All India Inter-University Mallakhamb Championship

We are proud to announce that our student, Mr. Mayur Pashte, a National Champion, represented the University of Mumbai and won a Gold Medal in the Mallakhamb Team Event and Bronze Medal in the Pyramid Event in the All India Inter-University Mallakhamb Championship, as well as a Gold Medal in the Khelo India University Game.

Our student Ms.Yashashree Sachin Surve (FYBFM) represented the University of Mumbai in the West Zone Inter-University Chess Tournament conducted by SAM Global University, Bhopal, and won 3rd place in the Team Chess Event. She will represent the University of Mumbai at the All India Inter-University Chess Tournament.
