He is an approved university teacher for undergraduate and post graduate teaching. He is born and brought up in Mumbai. Development Economics, Economics of Education and Economics of Health are some of his areas of interest. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. in Economics from Mumbai School of Economics and Public Policy, University of Mumbai
