Achievements at the 56th CULTURAL YOUTH FESTIVAL 2023-24
- We encourage students to nurture their talents so as to ensure holistic development. Cultural Youth festival serves an adequate platform for students to develop their talents and showcase the same. Participation in intercollegiate level contest inculcates virtues like hard work, dedication, sporting spirit and competitiveness.
- The 56th CULTURAL YOUTH FESTIVAL 2023-24 organised by the Department of Students’ Development of University of Mumbai was conducted in two phase i.e Zonal Round and Final Round.
- 35 students got the opportunity to showcase their talents across various events at intercollegiate/District/University level. About 30-35 colleges were competing in each category of events and our students managed to win ranks and qualify in Zonal rounds to Final rounds for multiple events.
- The students of Group song and Group dance categories were trained by Professional directors from the industry which served as an opportunity for the students to train under experts.
- Our students won in 6 events in the ZONAL rounds and won ranks in 4 events in the FINAL rounds.
- It was a remarkable achievement that our students bagged GOLD medal RANK 1 in the events of Poster Making and Installation.

Atharva Vaidya, a student of L.S. Raheja college currently studying in TYBAMMC, had the opportunity to represent the University of Mumbai at National level.
He was selected for the event of Western Group Song by the University of Mumbai . He represented the University at State level, West zone and Nationals.
He was also a part of the Qawwali team which competed directly for nationals and the team managed to bag the Gold medal. It was held in Sharda University, Noida.
